Put on your dancing shoes, baby.

To be honest, I love a good wedding reception as much as I love a good glass of wine, and that is really saying something. When I photograph a wedding reception, I am not a fly on the wall getting photos from the wayside. I believe it is my job to capture your guests having a blast in a way that lets you know from the pictures that they had a truly fantastic time.

Depending on the lighting situation for your reception, I may use a mix of flash and ambient light to compose your images. I shoot a mix of stop motion (freeze-frame flash) and dragging the shutter (when you see those lighting trails) to deliver a mix of creative and fun images from your wedding reception worthy of the party you threw.

Throughout the reception, I try to the best of my ability to capture documentary and posed images of as many of your guests as possible so that you have a memory of each person enjoying the day that you worked so hard to put together.

If you would like to learn a bit more about how I use light in different situations, the Light Galleries in the highlights page will provide you with a visual samples and a more in depth look at how I use light to craft images throughout the day.
